You know Waterworld actually made a good amount of money overall... just not as much in us box offices as usual.

Something like a budget of $175 million, it only made like $88 million at the U.S. box office. But it got like $176 million at the foreign box office.

DVD/video was like another $100 million.

That wasn't a loss.

Weird thing is that it's got the Costner "curse" of his later films, not bad at worst, not great, and could have been better.

Well for a while T, Waterworld was the most expensive movie ever made. That didn't mean people liked it heh.

I read that it was the highest budget they ever spent on a movie there. So I'd assume yes. lol
