Yeah, I haven't gotten much use out of the mothership, the battles normally don't last long enough to use them, or they kill off the mothership so fast it wasn't worth building. But the cloak is cool.

They are dated in the same way that all Blizzard games are dated.... you know what I mean ? But they still look amazing.

Its like WOW the combination of Colours and Art etc make you happy and you feel like you are on drugs !

And anyone who has played Protoss and has managed to pump out a Mother Ship that cloaks all your units, the Cloaking shield looks amazing.

So have i really explained anything here ? No.

In short, I dont find the graphics to be dated.

I would'nt know anything about Supcomm, I remember installing it and when I saw how dated the graphics looked, I removed it :O

The map allows you to zoom out so far the graphics do look dated (instead of just having a tiny box that you can view like SC2), but when you zoom in, they are detailed.

I killed off his miners and couldn't do anything else. He said "see you later..leaving the comp on" I said the same and 5 min later he came back and said "rock scissor paper to see who drops? I won, he left otherwise it would have lasted 9 hours, the max time limit.

Yeah, a large game is an hour, sometimes 90 minutes. 15-20 minute games can happen with rush tactics but I don't find them fun... plus you can't rush the hard AI, you will lose. Are you really concerned about a long game when our raids last 3 hours?

Yeah and my point is that the small scale is really boring to me. I find it anti-climactic when wiping out an enemy base that's like half a dozen buildings. I'm just really used to large scale battles in Supreme Commander where taking out a hard AI is very difficult and will probably require you to hit the full 500 unit limit (10x what you find in SC2 on average). Not to mention the strategy options possible with such large scale.
