PS - Think about it, Tahiti is moving just to get our "shitty" service....

J/k

There is a Tech forum I frequent who LOVES to bash Comcast and they haven't even taken the time to post a link to this, that tells you how reputable the source is :P

Its all about location. I can't speak for other area's of the country. The Seattle market is actually one of the best area's in the country. It is consistently rated number 1 in the country, it it isn't number one it is always in the top 5. This is number 1 out of about 120 markets and it's the only market I can speak for. Now go somewhere like Atlanta where they always rank at the bottom and I'm sure the service is horrible.

Edit: forgot to bring up the whole consumerist point, thanks pidgey

yeah.. tech came out, and said he saw one channel on the line that was off.. rest was good.. went up in the roof/attic area and ended up replacing 2 connectors and wasn't seeing the low signal anymore... took over an hour to do.

ps, that "award" is from the consumerist... the site with the most inflamitory/not backed up headlines that i've ever seen ;P

If it was cable it was probably the DA that did it. They have contracts with the city and if enough people complained to the right people they could lose said contract that lets them have a monopoly in the area.

:D that's the thing - this would show up when I could demonstrate that the systems in the house weren't transferring anything in or out. And Clear was trying to get an Early Termination Fee out of me until I offered to send a complaint letter to the Better Business Bureau and the state Attorney General's office if they billed me for that after not saying anything about my usage until I was trying to terminate service. Suddenly, they decided that waiving the ETF would be a good idea, and they're now disconnected from our place.
