Three hours is a crazy long class, but why did you sign up for a class you didn't care about? If its for your major I would hope that you'd be interested in it. If its general breadth requirements, there had to be a class in the category you would find more interesting. Its hard to do well in a class you don't enjoy (think of all the problems you'll have getting into a grad school), and its especially hard to justify all that money you're spending to take the class.
