200 meter front intake fan! What kind of case are you getting Shadowrage? Also I second the decision to switch to EVGA. I only buy their cards now, they are superior IMO. Also the software that comes with them is really nice.

I hadn't priced out current generation video cards, didn't realize there was such a difference in price

Thank you Atelo and Tord. When I made my original post I was planning on using Newegg but since then I'm going to use Amazon because I will get free shipping allowing me to not spend $130 on shipping! I updated my original post with some changes/upgrades to the cpu cooler, psu, and the SSD.

Swapped out the sound card with an increased SSD capacity.
Upgraded the power supply to platinum grade. I think it's going to be quieter that way and just better overall.
Upgraded the cpu cooler. I wanted something better looking than the Noctua colors and I'm thinking quieter/ better performance.

As of now I have $100 left in my budget. This doesn't allow me to upgrade to a GTX 780. Also from what I've gathered spending an extra $250 doesn't really warrant the small increase in performance, I would be losing the bang for the buck ratio.

The reason I picked MSI over the EVGA card was because MSI was 10 bucks cheaper and had a slightly better core clock of 1137MHz over the EVGA's 1111MHz.

Another question I have is my case is going to come with a 200m front intake and a 140mm rear exhaust fan. I've read positive pressure is better (more air going in than out). But I wonder if that will be sufficient cooling or should I pick up some more fans? Any other ideas on how my build is looking now? What should I the extra $100 at?

I second Atelo's suggestion on the SSD. It's a great product but would bump it up to the 256gb version.

As far as the power supply, I have always had good luck with corsair and use them a lot but they usually aren't the quietest units if that is what you are going for.

With a budget like yours I would upgrade the video card to a 780.

Unless you are using a very nice sound system/headphones the sound card is likely not worth the money.

Looks good. The 840 Pro is a quality SSD, although the 128gb version is slower than others, the NAND is of higher quality and theoretically should last longer.

I don't recommend a sound card. Usually the onboard sound is plenty adequate unless you are doing stuff with music composition, or you actually intend to go with 7.1 surround speakers. Even then, I think some onboard sound does 7.1 surround.

I'm not familiar with the Corsair HX series power supply, but 80 plus gold is always good. I've heard that Seasonic makes some of the quietest PSUs out there.

I've never been a fan of MSI video cards. They always seem to cheap out on the cooling fans. I tend to stick with EVGA for video cards and have yet to have a cooling fan fail. I've had MSI and Galaxy cards both with failed fans.

So all in all, you have a good build, except I would maybe swap out the sound card for a 256mb Samsung 840 Pro. It's faster, and with an SSD when you double the size, you double the life.

Wake up everyone! I'm planning on getting a new computer.

I want to play all new games at almost highest settings at 1920x1080 with 60+ fps
Budget is $2,000 with everything in the tower. Not including the monitor and peripherals.
I don't plan on over clocking nor do I really want to.
I want it to be quiet
I want it to last for 5 plus years with the only maybe a graphics card update and maybe more hard drive space.

Quick list:
i7-4770 Haswell 3.4GHz LGA 1150
Nvidia GTX 770
16 gigs of RAM
860 watt power supply

Any input is helpful

Thank you,
Shadow
