To start, I'm neither a PC or Mac fanboy: I use both and neither platform has been more (or less) problematic then the other for me. I primarily game on my PC and do some audio work (I use Cakewalk Sonar when laying down guitar tracks, overdubs, mixing and such; it sounds and works out much better with my PC with an Audigy2 ZS then it would using my MacBook's internal audio with Apple Logic Studio
) and do whatever else on my MacBook
. It's rather a routine (and convenient) for me to use operate both machines in that matter.
I will say this though, I'm waiting on the (anticipate) Mac line-up refresh to see what comes out of it to replace my MacBook. My previous Mac (12" aluminum PowerBook G4) served me well for a couple of years until I gave it to my niece for college (and yes, she's in advertising). From my experience with a Mac laptop, I figured I'd just upgrade to a MacBook. So yea, I'll be looking for a replacement for my MacBook as my niece will be getting it (and she'll be handing off her PowerBook G4 to her sister). I'll admit, in all likelihood, I'll be picking up another MacBook (the MBPro aren't worth their value -- of course, I'm sure many of you will claim that my next MacBook won't be either.
)
I must also stress that I'm neither an AMD nor an Intel / NVIDIA fanboy as I will use either or on any rig I build; but as it stands, I currently utilize an Intel CPU and an ATI GPU (and not because of their whole G92 & G94 chips).
I won't comment on Google, though. They too have served me well with much of my queries.

And where is Desari in this discussion? He's a Mac user and I'd love to make fun of his input.
Fixed!
HAHA I expected that "
Fixed!" comment.

Nope.. it's a limitation of a 32 bit OS... it can only see 4 gigs before it formats it.. with formatting and such XP gets about 3.5 usable. (that's the only difference between the 32 bit OSes).
63 bit OSes can see that 16 GBs or something else huge.
Apparently 64-bit OSes, in general, can address up to 16 ExaBytes? I'm sure I'm incorrect with the value, but it's huge all right.

Yea, XP32 does have that problem. Indeed it won't recognize the full 4GB of RAM. Depending upon configuration, it'll recognize up to 3.5GB (from what I've seen so far); but I've read some forums where they claim it's been able to go up to 3.75GB.

Ok, at least for me.
