After setting up Windows 7 and finally fixing WoW freezing up at the loading screen, I noticed my normal latency just about doubled. I was sitting anywhere from 400 to 500ms where I am normally around 200.
I tried a number of different things, but these fixes worked for me:
*USE THIS ONLY ON WINDOWS 7*
* Open Regedit
* Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces
* Find the interface folder that is currently in use. It will be the one that has an IPAddress and the most fields.
* Right click on the interface and choose New -> DWORD (32-bit) Value. Name it: “TcpAckFrequencyâ€

Yeah, Macs are trying to get more games for themselves while Microsoft is trying to promote the Xbox by making PC gaming more difficult.ascanius wrote:Macs don't have this problem.
They even go as far as paying game companies to make games exclusively for xbox, or remove multiplayer, coop play or a host of other good features on PC in the hopes people will buy xbox version instead. I think they are shooting themselves in the foot by doing so.
