I am in San Diego! Just arrived 30 minutes ago. Staying in a hotel (paid for by the company even, sweet) until we find an apartment...

That was the main reason I moved. I told my job that they could either let me move to SD (where corporate is located) or I would be quitting and finding another job outside Virginia.

The market is great in my field, I have no worries... And I know that isn't the case for most people. But look around and see what else is out there. Build a great resume and think about going someplace new. I know so many people right now that would reap huge benefits by getting the fuck outta dodge.

Grats on the big move Dart.

It's kind of like watching "The Guild" and realizing you're one of the characters.

Now all you have to do is eat some bbq at Phil's, get some beer at Alesmith, buy a surfboard (maybe a wetsuit), and you're officially a local.

We are living in Mission Valley. The girlfriend wants to learn how to surf, that will come once we settle in...

We have already been out and about here in the area... It is great, haven't had less than a great meal so far. Good brews too (at San Diego brewing company, and a pizza place in Mission Beach that had a ton of local brews.)

There is a beer fest coming up here in November, I have tickets to see one of the first tapings of the US version of Top Gear in Irvine, the girlfriend can't wait to go to Disneyland, and I can't wait to see Legoland.

No complaints here man.
