No no gus, like direction of the end game. That is where the vast majority of mmo-rpg's fail and die. 2 ways to fuck it up, bad combat-system/game-play. Rift seems to be doing ok on that side of things. And then lack of end game, because you have people level up and get all invested in their characters and then they finally get there and there is jack shit for them to do. So far all I've seen is killing giant portal bosses..like world raid encounters with random spawn timers. Is there actually instances or like set dungeons or zones you can go to to fight raid bosses?

they have a bit for end game set up, they have 10 man rift encounters ( they have a zone sent with almost endless to allow 10mans to do them) and if someone helps during that isn't in the 10man group, they get items but not access to the epics that the 10man get. They also have 20man instances. they are also ever changing mazes. They are going to focus on mainly 10man instances as well as 20man. They also said they don't want to bore ppl with 10 and 20 man of each so they are going to focus on making more raid zones. they have a video explaining it and showing. ..also as a side note, with this game b.c how well its running ( not found 1 broken quest yet) they can do little things. So when weather is coming, you actually see the clouds heading your way, hear distant thunder than it comes and goes just the same. Its a stupid little thing but its one of the details that just shows how they are going about the game.

Also one of my fav things about the game. The have PVP (souls) or specs so no more PVE nerfs b.c of fucking pvp shit

All of it sounded pretty cool until that last sentence by itself. Now I suddenly find myself fighting back the urge to go the store right the fuck now :/

Ive messed around a little bit with it over the last day. The talent trees seem to be done in a really interesting way but so far everything else just seems kind of awkward and a little unpolished.

Just the general sense I get from it very limited hours in.

No I meant the overall game play seemed awkward and unpolished. The talent trees actually seem really cool.

since public launch, sure. but it's been over 3 years in development, in beta for 3 months and has had 7 years of wow (or 12 years of everquest) history to learn from. if it's not polished by the time it has a public launch, there's little excuse.
