That is the truth Col. I can really only imagine this working if T1 and T2 work on a current loot system, where everyone gets a drop, rather than literally 3 drops per night. I mean, people don't have the tolerance they used to for that sort of shit.

Vanilla Wow hopefully doesn't mean Day 1 WoW, but I guess it could. It should mean some level of patched and balanced, some version we played in late 2006 or so.

Fix the loot system. Maybe give a level boost to 30 or 60, maybe implement PVP changes (where PVP is basically a different game) or something. World Bosses spawn more often? I dunno.

But would be a ton of fun.

The theorycraft didn't come along (although my spreadsheet above links to EJ and Shadowcraft) on the level it is now until later, but yeah we had some of us at the forefront and some of us who lagged behind learning those lessons.

Talked to Austin (Boryn) for a while yesterday and several co-workers that played through the years about this. I think I talked myself into and out of playing legacy servers about three times already.

The loot is one of the more interesting points of contention. There's no way in shit anyone is raiding MC for years on end getting two purps per boss shared with 39 others.

It's definitely interesting to think about.

Holy crap. Looks like Bees updated the forum software and it disabled our spam filter. 127 new posts in two days...

On a side note, I have restocked my viagra, hot women photos and fashion shoes.

I'm starting to remember what a hassle it was to stay on top back then. Not only did you need a Blessing of Might macro to message a Pally every 5 min, you also needed to know which Pallies were willing to Bless you mid fight. Not everyone understood the importance of Slice and Dice...back then it was easy to waste combo pts if not paying attention, I could go on and on.
Don't forget Blessing of Protection for when you inevitably pulled agro from the tank. No way you wanted to waste vanish, needed that too much to survive the wipe, repairs get expensive :P

I might be interested in checking it out. Haven't been checking in here lately due to helping my parents quite a bit. (My Dad has Alzheimer's.)

P.S. to Bees: Thanks for keeping our forum alive.

That sucks man. I lost an aunt to that a couple of years ago, and my cousins went through a lot for it.

Also, yes thank you Bees for keeping this around for so long.

I am a fan of this video detailing differences between Vanilla and later stuff. Damn the pain we (and by we I mean most every other class but rogues, haha sucks to be you) went through back in the day.

I'm in. I would love to start over. We are having a kid....due Feb 2'ish. I will be spending way more time at home compared to years when I could only play in between poor connections and partying. I have a blazing hot connection and a smoking computer. I'm in....

Yeah Dart... it was so painful back then haha
Used to spend so much time farming Gromsblood for Flask of the Titans because nobody else would do it.

Myztic! Congrats on the baby! Post pics to the picture thread when you have it... we've got over a decade of photo records in there.
